Financfy

Overview

Backend engineering for Financfy, a cloud-based accounting platform for growing businesses in Bangladesh. I built its Open API, bKash and Tap Payments integrations, subscription billing, API rate limiting and two-factor authentication using Go and PostgreSQL.

What I built

• Built the Financfy Open API, which lets third-party applications connect to Financfy and use its accounting features programmatically.
• Added fixed-window rate limiting to protect the API from abuse and keep response times steady for every client.
• Integrated the bKash and Tap Payments gateways so customers can pay online quickly and reliably.
• Built subscription-based invoicing and billing for recurring plans.
• Implemented the subscription payment calculation for PiHR, an HR management platform that pays for its subscription through Financfy.
• Currently building the enterprise edition of Financfy for Pathao Nepal.
• Implemented database synchronization and two-factor authentication (2FA) with time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).
• Designed REST APIs for the inventory dashboard and bulk invoice import.
• Worked with the mobile team to tune API performance and keep response times fast.
